The Russia-Ukraine war and the implications for ordinary South Africans

Our news is dominated by a war in Europe; a war that may seem far away but will have significant economic and political consequences for South Africans.

In this interactive teach-in, we will explore the roots of the conflict as a background to understanding how we can critically engage with information and disinformation surrounding the different sides of this war (Russia and the ‘West’), and the economic & political implications for ordinary South Africans. Join us for a multi-media workshop that will involve film, presentations, and problem-solving activities to better understand what this war might mean for activists.
