CURRENT STAFF MEMBER
Daryl Braam worked in a range of contexts, at grassroots, community-level, with educational institutions, development organisations and government with the view to establish a stronger democracy through quality and success in education. His passion is about driving processes of social change and is committed to values of freedom, equality and social justice in society.
His activism is premised on advancing human rights and on the belief in human potential to realise a vision for a better society. As a student he was a member of Students of Young Azania (SOYA) which was a movement that aimed to bring students and workers in solidarity against manifestations of inequality in society. His community activism included, among other roles, building local sport organisations and labour movements as a means of contributing to the self-actualisation, collective pride and the protection of human rights of people.
